Pity Party uses party culture as the context to explore the grieving process and the isolation that is endemic to adolescence. Inspired by her many years working at bat mitzvahs, quinceñeras, weddings and corporate events, this work is an analytical deconstruction of the symbols of youth and a colorful, interactive and irreverent celebration of life and death.
